A bounce page is a page that a visitor arrives on and, for whatever reasons, immediately leaves. Using MVI SPY you can identify these pages quickly. To find which pages bounce, go to Traffic Analysis and click on Bounced pages. Bounced pages are problem pages and require attention to find out why the visitor leaves. Some times it can be just a slow loading page. Other times it could be a page that uses a program that the browser does not register. Still other pages are not viewed properly by the browser for reason such as Flash etc.
That's why it's so important to find and fix pages that lose a high percentage of visitors. Look at the Bounce report within the Traffic Analysis Section of MVI SPY. Pages that have a high Bounce Rate (the percentage of visits that resulted in the visitor immediately leaving the site) need to be redesigned or have code changes or the program modified to identify a browser issue.
Sometimes it can be a simple matter of redefining your keywords. If the search term does not match the content on your page the visitors would leave quickly, hence a bounce. Example: if the searcher was looking on Google for "used car" and the link that he clicked on Google sent him to a page of only "used Trucks", the visitor would likely immediately click back to Google (bounced) straight away. This is a waste of keyword money, if the search was paid.
